NoteTalker, by Next Evolution
A notes app you can talk to. Your notes stay plain Markdown files on your own machine, and chat, voice, and search all run locally.
hold the operator playbook, vendor research, and meeting context Grant and the team draw from every week.
NoteTalker is a standalone product. The download, license, and user guide live at talkwithyournotes.com. This page is the studio-side view: how we use it inside Hungry Machines and why we ship it as one of three tools.
What it does
- Your notes stay plain files Notes are Markdown files in a folder you choose, with no proprietary database. Any editor can open them, and Git, Dropbox, or iCloud can sync them.
- Chat that answers from your notes Ask a question and NoteTalker pulls the relevant notes from your vault before a local model writes the answer. Your notes never go to a cloud AI service.
- Talk instead of type Push-to-talk, a wake word, or a back-and-forth conversation mode. NoteTalker can read its answers aloud while you keep working.
- Search by meaning or exact phrase Search finds a note by what it is about or by the words in it, and works offline.
- People, meetings, and connections A personal CRM for contacts and interaction history, daily notes with tasks, Google Calendar sync into those daily notes, and graphs that show how people, companies, and topics connect.
How it works
Install it on your computer
NoteTalker runs on Windows 10+, macOS 12+, and Linux. On first launch it downloads its AI models once, then works without an internet connection. The AI features need an NVIDIA GPU or an Apple Silicon Mac.
Point it at your notes
Choose a folder of Markdown notes, or start a new one. Capture calls, links, vendor outreach, and decisions in daily notes instead of letting them die in a tab or a Slack thread.
Ask, out loud or typed
Before a call, ask what you know about the vendor. Before a recurring task, ask for the playbook. That's the test: did NoteTalker help in the next ten minutes?
The full product lives at talkwithyournotes.com.
NoteTalker has its own home, its own license, and its own roadmap. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription and no per-message fees, because the AI runs on your machine. We use it inside Hungry Machines every week, and we ship it here as one of the three tools the studio stands behind. Pricing, download, and the user guide are on the standalone site.
